Capture Current app for iPhone and iPad

Current is a new app that allows you to film live stream events for top media companies using your iOS device.

You can download the app and create a profile for free. Once youve created a profile on Current, youre eligible to receive a job offer (via text message) from a media company looking to hire you to live stream a nearby event.

Background location tracking is enabled ​so that media companies can send you a job offer when youre near an event. Once youre hired for a job, the media company will also be able to track your route to the events location.

Once youve arrived to the job location, a push notification is sent to you to initiate a live video stream. When the live stream is completed, background uploading of an HD video version (of what you just streamed) begins. You are paid by the hiring media company for your time (via PayPal) and receive a performance rating from the hiring media company after each job.

Current is a companion app to Capture.com, the enterprise platform media companies use to find and hire contributors in the Current network.

Because of the lack of LTE in phones older we will not be supporting iPhone5 and before.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
